What does IXD mean at Amazon?
In Amazon’s IPEX address list, IXD appears as a network classification distinct from Sortable, Non Sort, XLFC, CXD and other facility labels. Amazon’s Supply Chain Services material also depicts an inbound cross-dock location upstream of fulfillment centers in the network. For seller research, the useful distinction is therefore functional: an IXD is an inbound network node, while Amazon describes fulfillment centers as facilities where employees pick, pack and ship customer orders.
